Sumika Super S300

Outline of material

Sumika Super S300 is an engineering plastic with excellent sliding performance that combines PTFE with Sumika Super E101, a wholly aromatic polyester. It maintains PTFE's low wear coefficient, while offering significant improvements on PTFE's shortcomings, namely, lower wear resistance and compressive creep characteristics.

Sliding characteristics

  • Low friction coefficient and excellent stability
  • Low friction coefficient ensures highest PV limit among non-lubricated sliding materials
  • Does not easily scratch other materials when used with soft metals such as stainless steel or aluminum
  • Maintains reliable characteristics for a long time
  • Superior performance in water-lubricated applications

Heat resistant

  • Continuous service temperature of 260°C

Chemical resistant

  • Not affected by most organic solvents or oils, even at high temperatures
