Outline of material

Sumiploy® CK4600 is an enhanced PEEK (polyether ether ketone) grade made from PEEK produced by Victrex that is reinforced with carbon fiber. In addition to PEEK's conventional characteristics, CK4600 offers superior mechanical properties in terms of flexural modulus, fatigue resistance, and other qualities.

Sumiploy® E3010 is a heat-resistant, oilless sliding material with excellent sliding performance made from a base of PES (polyether sulfone) reinforced with Sumika Super® E101 and other materials.

Heat characteristics
  • Deflection temperature under load (1.82 MPa) of 328°C
  • Melting point of 334°C Glass transition point of 143°C
Mechanical characteristics
  • Flexural modulus of up to 150°C is among the best of any plastic
  • One of the best PEEK materials in terms of fatigue resistance
  • Maintains mechanical strength over a wide temperature range
Chemical characteristics
  • Excellent durability against organic and inorganic chemicals
Mechanical workability
  • Machinable
  • Weldable

E3010

Heat characteristics
  • Deflection temperature under load of 200°C
  • Glass transition point of 225°C
Sliding characteristics
  • Low friction coefficient and excellent stability, even when dry
  • Low friction coefficient and high PV limit
  • Does not easily scratch other materials, even when used with soft metals such as stainless steel or aluminum
Mechanical characteristics
  • Temperature does not significantly affect mechanical characteristics, and continuous service temperature is 180°C
  • Excellent creep resistance

Example uses

  • Non-lubricated sliding parts (e.g. food machinery, packaging machinery, air compressors)
  • Sliding parts for use in extreme temperatures (e.g. conveyors, dollies, driers, office automation equipment)
  • Machine parts that are difficult to lubricate (e.g. elevators, drainage pumps, general industrial machinery)
  • Parts used in chemicals (e.g. chemical pumps, agitators, chemical machinery)
  • Parts in which rust is problematic (e.g. steam equipment, parts used in vehicle underbodies)
